Graham Aker starts Mobile Suit Gundam 00 as an ace Union pilot flying his customised Flag, one of Celestial Being's toughest early rivals for Setsuna F. Seiei. After the losses stack up, his admiration for the Gundams curdles into obsession, and he reinvents himself as the masked "Mister Bushido," piloting suits like the Ahead and eventually the imposing Susanowo. His arc runs from honourable soldier to obsessive rival to, eventually, redemption, ending up on Celestial Being's side by the story's close. It makes for a satisfying set to build chronologically, from his early Flag through to the Susanowo.
