Evangelion Provisional Unit-05 Artpla Model Kit

From Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo comes Evangelion Temporary Unit 05 on the ARTPLA lineup, captured in a pose inspired by the activation scene at the Bethania base as it prepares for its duel with the Third Angel. This pose-fixed plastic model kit has its origins in a 3D scan of the drawing reference model produced by sculptor Akira Tani - the same model used as a reference during the anime production process itself - with the scale increased to improve both detail reproduction and ease of assembly. Shapes that could not be fully reproduced at the time of the original reference model have also been updated specifically for this plastic kit release.

The pantograph on the shoulder armor has been adjusted to match the setting picture for a more precise finish, and both the head shape and the Spear of Longinus (pseudo-non-restored type) can be built in either the in-play model version as it appears in the anime, or the drawing reference model version, giving collectors a meaningful choice in how faithfully they want to represent either the screen appearance or the production reference. The kit is molded in gray-green, the image color of Temporary Unit 05.
