RG 1/144 Akatsuki Gundam Oowashi Unit 1/144

The Akatsuki Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY arrives here in RG 1/144 scale, kitted out with the Oowashi (eagle) pack and finished in three types of gold plating across the entire body. The multi-faceted surface shaping is designed to shift the angle of light reflection as you move the kit, recreating the distinctive sparkling "Yatanokagami" coating from the series. It's one of those builds where the finish does a lot of the talking.

The Oowashi pack is fully integrated, with the nose, hatch, and beam cannon all present, and both wings articulated so they can be posed independently or folded flat against the body. The kit shares frame parts with the RG Strike Gundam in select areas, giving it a comparable range of motion. The shoulder pull-out mechanism extends the arm's reach, the hip joint opens wide for dynamic stances, and a torso swing combined with arm and leg armour slide gimmicks means the kit shifts and settles naturally into whatever pose you choose. Verniers on the upper shoulders and legs are also movable. Realistic decals cover the full body markings.
