SD Gundam EX Standard is a series that was originally released exclusively overseas before making its way to Japan. The proportions sit somewhere between classic SD and a more upright stance, giving the kits a cleaner silhouette while still keeping that compact SD character. The improved joint structure across the range means you get a noticeably wider range of motion than older SD kits, which opens up some genuinely satisfying poses.
Parts from the EX Standard series are compatible with HG kits, so there's plenty of scope for mixing and matching between the two lines if you want to take things further.
